helpful??
is there anyone here who will actually help someone who is not active in a local club? I'm deployed to the middle east and havent been back to MT for nearly 5 years and i'm wondering where some decent trails to ride are that are close to Kalispell. can anyone actually take a second and reply? or is it against "club policy" to help someone who doesnt live there right now??
hey there 75CJ5,
If you check your other post there are some replies to your request. http://www.m4x4a.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=9679#9679
There are not a lot of people that visit this site on a daily basis. There are a handfull though.Be specific about an area. I live in Harrison/Pony area. Do you want to wheel here? I will turn you on to some trails, but I know nothing about the Billings area.
hope that helps you.

it does list one, however if you're not a local you probably have absolutely no clue where they begin/end. my folks live just south of kalispell and as of right now i have no trailer for my jeep. which means it kind of limits my range (401ci w/ 4 barrel carb and a 3 spd tranny) i was attempting to find out if there were any trails nearby to the lakeside or kalispell areas because that is about the range i'd be driving my jeep (not sure if i want to spend that much on gas to get places. I do appreciate the reply though. billings is kinda on the other side of the state though ...
Most of the people who are on here all the time are from the Bozeman and Helena area. However there are 2 very good clubs right up there. I know there are trails but have never been on any up there so I woulden't know where to send you.
I'll send Shawn from the Kalispell club a shout and see if he can log in and give you and idea of what's around.
Sounds good, Thanks for the help.

Got it handled. Just PM or email me at the addy that I gave you and we can figure out a time to run the Blacktail/Wild Bill trail.

Yeah, what Roger said!!
We're not blowing you off....we just might not be watching the 'net as closely as we could be.
I PM'ed you my contact info...and PDC_RNR and I wheel together a lot. I need to replace my PS pump tomorrow, and I should be good to go when you hit town. Please do look us up!!!
As for the Blacktail area, I helped build one of the more difficult sections of trail, but I haven't actually wheeled it myself yet...just looking for a great excuse to go. Call us and give me an excuse to go!!

Hey Nick, it was great to meet you. Hope you had fun while on leave in Montana. Stay safe and we'll catch you on the end of your deployment.
Thank you for your service!!
Shawn
I just want to say thanks for everyone that helped make my leave enjoyable, just too bad i didnt have a spare tire for the jeep when i sliced the one open, (not that it would have mattered with the axle being shot) but everyone was awesome, and i had a great time. would not hesitate to wheel with you guys again. hopefully i'll have a pair of axles by the time i get back and can get a few trips in before i have to start my tedious drive south. Thanks again for the awesome fun!!
