Last wheeling before the big snow - 1/14/2012 Bozeman Area! Join us!
Hello - this is my first post to the forum, and I am using it for an open invite to wheel Flathead Pass from west to east tomorrow. We will be leaving Belgrade at about 9:30AM to head for the trail. Feel free to call/text me at eight oh one, eight nine six, three zero four four if you'd like to tag along.
We are also open to going to heading to McAllister and running the Meadow Creek (??) area. I've never been there but have heard it is one of the better trails in the area. We would need somebody to show us around though!
I know this is a long shot, but we are hoping somebody will see the post before it's too late.
Happy trails!
Jared
I think Blair is the only Mountaineer that still regularly follows the site so hopefully he posts up some time. Your best bet is to look for the Bozeman Mountaineers on Facebook or to swing by Dark Horse Customs or Mikes Off Road (both located in Belgrade) and find out who is going out when. Or find their new meeting times.
Not sure how much snow you guys have yet (I here there is not much) but flathead is usually a good time. Just be respectful of the landowner on the West side. He is not very happy with all the kids who go up there partying and tearing the place up and has threatened to try to close the West side down like they do with the drainage to the South. If you go up alone be careful not to drop into something you can't get out of.... it has many places that hide deep drifts with no winch points nearby.
North Meadow Creek and Patosi is closed for the winter by now. But I think South Meadow is still left open in the winter time. Call over to the Ennis Forest Service office and check before you head out.
Have fun!!!!

No problem. There are a few of us trying to keep an eye out on here. We will point 'em in the right direction when we can. We use FB over here in Helena more than anything else as well. I still like having a central location for information though.
